Nancy Tarus - Executive Director (Livelihood and food security specialist.)
Nancy Tarus is the Founder and Executive Director of IMI Kenya and a seasoned Livelihood and Food Security Specialist with extensive experience in designing and implementing sustainable community development programs. Passionate about building resilient communities, Nancy has led innovative initiatives that empower vulnerable populations to improve their food security, diversify income sources, and adapt to climate-related challenges. Her leadership is grounded in a participatory, community-driven approach that promotes long-term self-reliance and local ownership. Nancy has successfully forged partnerships with government, civil society, and private sector actors to scale impactful livelihood interventions, enhance market access, and support capacity building for women and youth. Through her work, she remains committed to creating lasting solutions that address the root causes of food insecurity and poverty.
Nadhia Willie -Projrct Manager (Governance and Accountability Lead )
Nadhia Willie is a dedicated Governance and Accountability Lead supporting IMI Kenya in the implementation of governance-focused projects in Isiolo County. She provides strategic leadership in promoting transparency, community participation, and social accountability within project activities. Nadia works closely with local stakeholders, government structures, and community groups to strengthen governance systems, build capacity, and ensure inclusive decision-making processes. Her role includes facilitating accountability mechanisms, supporting policy advocacy, and ensuring that project interventions align with community priorities and rights-based approaches. Through her work, Nadia enhances the responsiveness, effectiveness, and sustainability of IMI Kenya’s programs in the region.ts, working closely with diverse stakeholders to challenge harmful social norms and promote inclusive, sustainable change.
Martin Munene - Communications/Youth Empowerment Officer
A dynamic Communication Officer with extensive experience in filming, documentary production, graphic design, and digital skills training, having worked with reputable organizations such as ActionAid, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Food for the Hungry(FH), and the Kenya School of Government. Committed to empowering youth through digital literacy and content creation, enabling them to tell their own stories and access new opportunities. Proven ability to develop impactful visual content and facilitate skills transfer that supports community engagement and social transformation
Georgina Mbithe - SBC/Gender Coordinator
Georgina Mbithe is a skilled Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) and Gender Coordinator at IMI Kenya, with extensive experience in designing and implementing gender-responsive, community-driven programs. She leads efforts to integrate gender equity and transformative SBC strategies across projects, working closely with diverse stakeholders to challenge harmful social norms and promote inclusive, sustainable change.
Eric Ngonge - Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant
Eric Ngonge is an experienced Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Consultant who provides occasional support to IMI Kenya in Isiolo County. The consultant assists in monitoring project activities, evaluating tools, and ensuring quality data collection throughout the project cycle. They support the development and review of M&E tools, conduct field visits, analyze data, and provide actionable recommendations to improve project effectiveness. With strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and capacity building, they contribute to evidence-based decision-making and continuous learning within IMI Kenya’s programs.
Diana Wughanga - Field Officer Oldonyiro Ward
Georgina is a skilled Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) and Gender Coordinator at IMI Kenya, with extensive experience in designing and implementing gender-responsive, community-driven programmes. She leads efforts to integrate gender equity and transformative SBC strategies across projects, working closely with diverse stakeholders to challenge harmful social norms and promote inclusive, sustainable change.
Joy Gatwiri - Livelihood Field Officer
The Livelihood Field Officer support IMI Kenya’s efforts to strengthen community resilience through improved food security, income generation, and sustainable agricultural practices. They work with local farmers, traders, and community groups to promote diversified livelihood options, support access to markets, and facilitate vocational training. These officers also assist in monitoring livelihood interventions and building the capacity of communities to adopt climate-smart and sustainable practices.
Hablo wako - Youth Empowerment Field Officer
The Youth Empowerment Field Officer focus on mobilizing, mentoring, and training young people to actively participate in social, economic, and governance activities. They support life skills training, entrepreneurship programs, and the creation of safe spaces for youth engagement. These officers work closely with local youth groups to promote leadership development, employment opportunities, and youth-driven community initiatives.
Mumina Ali - Women Empowerment Field Officer
Mumina Ali is a Women Empowerment Field Officer leading efforts to promote gender equality and women’s participation in development. She mobilizes women’s groups, facilitates training on economic empowerment, and supports initiatives that strengthen women’s leadership and decision-making capacities. Mumina is instrumental in creating platforms that enable women to access resources, engage in productive livelihoods, and advocate for their rights within their communities.
Rukia Galgalo - SBC/ Gender Mainstreaming Field Officer
The Gender Mainstreaming Field Officer work to integrate gender considerations into all aspects of IMI Kenya’s projects. They ensure that project activities are inclusive, equitable, and sensitive to the unique needs of women, men, boys, and girls. Their responsibilities include conducting gender assessments, facilitating gender-awareness sessions, and providing guidance to ensure that gender equity is a core component of community interventions.driven programmes.
