Raising awareness and understanding World AIDS Day provides a platform to educate people about the disease, reduce stigma, and encourage testing and prevention methods. It promotes open conversations and dispels myths, helping to create a more informed and understanding society. Supporting affected communities: The day serves as a reminder of the millions of people living with HIV/AIDS and the challenges they face. By raising funds and providing resources, we can help improve their quality of life and access to healthcare. Advocating for policy change: World AIDS Day is an opportunity to call on governments and organisations to take decisive action, invest in research and treatment, and ensure equal access to healthcare for all.

16 Days of Gender Activism 2025 (November 25th- December 10th)

16 Days of Gender Activism 2025 (November 25th- December 10th)

16Days of Activism serves as a resounding call to end the most pervasive human rights violation worldwide—violence against women and girls. It rallies individuals and organizations to contribute, no matter how small the action, to the larger movement of preventing violence. Together, the aim is to build a world where #NoExcuse is accepted, and gender-based violence has no place. IMI Kenya is actively participating in the 16 Days of Activism by underscoring the need to be "respectfully disruptive" in the fight against gender-based violence. IMI Kenya advocates for a # RespectfullyDisruptive approach, challenging stereotypes, disrupting harmful behaviors, and fostering respectful dialogue to stand against gender-based violence. There is #NoExcuse for violence, and a collective effort is required to challenge societal norms and behaviors that perpetuate gender-based violence.
